Currency

We've been advised that the tour guides and bus drivers will be grateful if they are tipped in their local currency.  In addition, street vendors and other small businessmen are less likely to take a credit card for small purchases.  So...we've learned what currencies are used in each of the countries we will visit and their exchange rates. What does it say about a country's economy when the exchange rate is 22,710 of their unit of currency to 1 of our dollars??
David will go to the bank on Monday and hand them a request for 26 different currencies, each in different amounts.  I look forward with relish to being able to handle and use each one of them!  The other benefit is that having a little local cash will encourage us to make sure we spend it! Since I have a crazy quilt project in mind, it will be enough to buy a scarf or other small textile sample to add to my around the world quilt.
Also, my daughter, April's tooth fairy brings foreign coins.--I'll come home with a boat load!
