Packing

By far, the most frequently asked question in regard to our upcoming trip has been, "How do you pack for nearly 5 months?"  Well, how DO you pack for 141 days?  Tonight, half of that problem is now moot--the UPS man came this morning to take one bag each which will be magically delivered to our stateroom to await our arrival.  Viking contracted with a company called Luggage Forward to give us each one free bag transport.  It's a great service allowing us to only have one bag each to schlep to the airport, however, there is such a lengthy list of restricted items (guns, ammunition, knives, scissors longer than 6 cm., medications including vitamins, anything containing alcohol, aerosols, electronics, anything that can produce heat, medical equipment, animals, body parts including ashes, etc., that we ended up filling our bags with clothes and shoes.  Our other bag will have to carry the Uzi and David's spare leg.

Now we have eight more days to assemble all the other items we think we can't live without until late next Spring.
